N(i)² Version 4.5 delivers scalability and agility to provision Cloud Services

Montréal (Québec), Canada - March 9th 2010 - N(i)2, a provider of  Infrastructure Resource Management Software is pleased to announce the availability of The N(i)2 Suite version 4.5. This latest version offers new features and enhancements to assist Service Providers in delivering cutting-edge Infrastructure Cloud services, associated to computing, software, connectivity, facility, storage, and other virtualized services.

The N(i)2 Suite version 4.5 puts forward innovation in the continued evolution of the N(i)2 Operations and Service Delivery Platform (OSDP); N(i)2’s next-generation software that integrates service operation and service delivery capabilities in a single platform. It delivers business critical functions to visualize, inventory, create, provision and manage services across an organization’s multiple infrastructure domains by leveraging its investments in resources and technologies,-in order to implement a competitive “Anything as a Service” model: any service, anytime, anywhere, to any device over any network.

“Service Providers offering Cloud services are facing operational and technology challenges while having to demonstrate both operational efficiency and business agility”, says Toufik Abdallah, CTO at N(i)2. “Cloud services can no longer be tied to a single technology and/or vertical method of service fulfillment.  In fact, to stay competitive, service providers must converge traditionally silo’ed IT, network, and facility domains in order to simultaneously deliver on-demand services such as collocation and computing. The N(i)2 OSDP acts as a Manager-of-Managers at the provisioning level and delivers a unified service portal to quickly deliver services across multiple silos” ads, Abdallah.

The Version 4.5 augments and further solidifies the N(i)2 OSDP in enabling service providers to rapidly and efficiently deliver services by optimizing the utilization of resources, space, and energy without compromising service quality. These new features and enhanced functionalities are foundational to delivering “service centric” Cloud capabilities. Focus of this release was centered on expanding and improving on Cloud infrastructure design and management, platform extensibility and adaptability, advancements in performance, and next-generation “visual” service impact analysis across multiple Cloud infrastructures.
