CONSULTANT - INTERMEDIATE TO SENIOR


We are currently opening a number of consulting positions in the Implementation Services group. As a consultant, you will be joining an experienced, dynamic, international and multicultural team and will be part of an exciting new phase for our company.



Job responsibility:

The Consultant will participate in a team effort to implement our solution for our customers, successfully and within time and budget. The candidate will be accountable for the tasks assigned by the project manager. Depending on the size of the project, project management responsibilities may also be required.


Key responsibilities:

As consultant, your responsibilities based on your profile and experience may include:
  • Analysis of customer’s context in the areas of technical infrastructure, existing data, processes or existing tools
  • Data modeling in regards to N(i)²’s CMDB model
  • Data manipulation, scripting and import
  • Process definition in regards to the N(i)² Suite
  • NQL, HTML reporting
  • API development
  • System architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation
  • Testing and solution deployment.
  • Keeping account and project managers informed of major issues
  • Reporting internally and to customers or partners
Other responsibilities include:
  • Create clear and precise offers of services, corresponding to our customers’ expectations
  • Support presales activities
  • Write or review product documentation
  • Product testing

Academic Background and Work Experience:
  • University or college degree in an IT related field (Computer Science, Communications, and Business) or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 10 years of related IT experience


Required skills:
  • Expert analytical skills
  • Good application level knowledge of network management and data center automation business issues and solutions
  • Solid understanding of the enterprise systems management market strongly desired
  • Knowledge of ITIL Practices and Foundation
  • Knowledge of IT Management tools
  • Implementation experience of software products
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Working experience with partners and/or resellers as projects can be implemented with partners.
For Technical Consultant:
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Servers 2000/2003
  • Basic knowledge of Unix (Linux, Solaris)
  • Working experience with various databases (supporting PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle & DB2) and application servers environments (JBoss, BEA Weblogic)
  • Java / JSP / J2EE - Intermediate Skill Level
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, network topology.

Terms of Employment:
Full-time, permanent position based in Montreal (Canada) as well as Liege (Belgium), available immediately.

This position requires traveling to customers’ sites. Percentage of traveling may vary.
