SENIOR DEVELOPER
Job responsibility
The Senior Developer will report and communicate with the requirements team in order to understand the needs and implement the product according to the architecture design guidelines. Candidates must be ready to work in a distributed team environment (Belgium / Canada) and to be able to produce high-quality achievements.
Required Education
Bachelor degree in a computer related field. Master degree a plus.
Required technical skills
Essential
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a developer-analyst, 3 years as a Java/J2EE and Object Oriented developer focusing on UI
- Expertise in component-based architecture and 3rd party java library integration (such as JIDE, Lucene, Batik, etc.)
- Expertise with design and development activities using J2EE, JSP/JSF/AJAX and XML related technologies
Important
- Knowledge of telecom technologies and telecom standards such SID/CIM/DEN object models, OSS processes, SNMP, TL1, ITU, BelCore, , OSS/J API’s …
- Expertise with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, MS SQL) and Java Application Server (JBoss, WebLogic, Websphere)
- Expertise with UML and iterative development methodologies like RUP
- Knowledge of GIS, GIS engines, (geo)-graphical libraries (ILOG) and standards (Open GIS).
