N(i)² signs Vegacom Group as new authorized reseller

Partnership adds next-generation CMDB to Fault, Performance and Capacity Management technology portfolio

Montréal (Québec), Canada - June 20th, 2006 - N(i)², a provider of IT Infrastructure and IT Service Management (ITiSM) solutions today announced its reseller agreement with Vegacom Group, a leading supplier of complex services on information and communication technologies, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Vegacom Group, which offers leading-edge solutions in the areas of security, telecommunication and networking, will add the N(i)² technology to address both enterprise and telecom markets' growing demand for consolidated IT and network change and configuration management.

At the root of the N(i)² technology is its Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The N(i)² CMDB acts as a centralized knowledge base for all IT and network resources- including applications and supporting structure resources-and for their relationships with the customers who rely on them. The N(i)² CMDB conveys the dependencies between the layered IT and network infrastructures, the delivered services and business they support, providing a complete representation of the IT environment during operations and business management.

The N(i)² CMDB works in perfect synergy with leading Fault, Performance and Capacity Management technologies in providing customers with a virtual centralized knowledge base for all their discoverable and non-discoverable IT resources. The N(i)² CMDB breaks down technology silos by federating data and information from multivendor solutions onto a single technology platform. It achieves this by federating data from multiple sources, whether imported, discovered, or managed by ITIL based processes.

The N(i)² CMDB includes embedded processes and workflows that work in collaboration with the N(i)² Change, Service and Infrastructure Management, as well as with 3rd party applications. Together they help streamline the end-to-end change process and facilitate the implementation of best practices during operations and business management. Seamlessly integrated behind one user interface, the N(i)² business management applications share and update information concerning all IT resources and services, enhancing IT organizations analysis capabilities while issuing change, resolving incidents and problems, and optimizing asset allocation.

"N(i)² delivers the power of configuration management combined with best management practices in a simple, intuitive and affordable solution. Its pre-integration to 3rd party solutions, such as EMC-Smarts, will add efficiency and value to our enterprise, and to telecom customers' current management solutions", says Pavel Hlavinka, CEO of Vegacom Group. "The N(i)² visibility on IT infrastructures will finally enable them to manage their IT resources and supporting structures as their core assets", adds Petr Dokoupil, director of Solutions division.

"Vegacom Group offers the highest quality supporting and implementation services in the financial, trade, industrial and public sectors. Together with its in-depth knowledge of enterprise network solutions, Vegacom Group becomes a strategic partner to N(i)²", says Joseph Hatchuel, CEO of N(i)². "Vegacom Group's decision to add N(i)² to its portfolio further illustrates demand for a technology collaboration between Configuration, Performance, Fault, and Capacity management, made available for the enterprise market", adds Hatchuel.
